Recycling of redundant Film & Music Media

One of the first concrete projects to come out of our previous engagement with the film production sector and film finance (see Case Study: Ethical Film Production and Flm Finance) Mannheim Foundation has launched a project to recycle and re-purpose film media such as VHS video tapes, DVD and CD disks, which have become largely redundant due to new technology and the shift toward online streaming.  To incentivise people to recycle their redundant videos and discs, we hope to also add online content in a twist which could have global reach.

This project is being developed by Mannheim Foundation as a spin-off business for Scyrus©.  As with all our projects, the intention is to create an ethical and responsible business, which supports communities through job creation and development of new technologies, with all surplus profits being distributed across all Scyrus© members.

We invite investors, donors and grant givers to support this exciting project.  We also invite interest from the film sector.  All enquiries should be sent to enquiries@mannheimfoundation.org marked in the title as “Recycling Film & Music media”.
