What We Do

/ What We Do

We advise and support communities and businesses to grow and become investor-ready as well as making sustainable investments or donations from our Ethical Capital Finance programme, which raises funds individually customised for eligible businesses and beneficiaries. In this way, we can directly or indirectly fulfill our mission to advance Health & Education, including social housing, renewable energy and fighting climate change.

In order to achieve its mission objectives, MF raises capital to make investments to generate profits, which can then be donated to targeted beneficiaries sustainably for the duration of the investments.  MF is a peer-to-peer investor and donor funder.  Our services include:

  • Investing:
    • Making investment into either projects which deliver public benefit and are sustainable over the long term, or
    • investing into capital-protected independently managed asset management programs with a public benefit.
  • Donating:

Donating surplus profit from our invested capital or from our own proprietary capital to eligible charities or charitable causes.

  • Consulting:
    • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / Environmental Social & Governance (ESG): providing expertise on making CSR and ESG a core part of clients’ strategy to optimize the opportunity that this presents, including how to fund its CSR program;
    • Investment structuring and project funding advice ready for investment: advising clients on how to become investment ready;
    • Specialised consuilting aimed at the healthcare systems of countries or large companies such as epidemiological guidance on Covid-19 pandemic and other diseases.

Our funding model has been designed to make MF robust, to ensure durability over time. We invest into projects as a debt investor.  Examples include such areas as vaccine procurement, building pharmaceutical production plant, building schools and universities, funding for medical equipment, clean water and sanitation infrastructure or land rehabilitation.  However, as a non-profit charitable organisation, we are not motivated by greed and our risk mitigation allows us to invest into projects which would be challenging for most banks and conventional investors.  We are also able to forgive debt repayment

Surplus profits from investment activity are donated to charities and charitable projects.
